"Shortly before I embarked on a month long tour of the country, I installed a Retract-A-Trike on my 2005 Goldwing. It didn't take me long to appreciate my new best friend. I have been riding on and off for the last fifty three years and time has caught up with me. The trip was a grueling 9,306 miles covering twenty three states in twenty nine days. How I wish I had installed this device five years ago.

A loaded Goldwing with luggage and me aboard weighs in at close to 1,000 lbs and the old legs and ankles just aren't what they used to be. The low speed stability is a blessing but to have that kind of security and still be able to raise the wheels up and scoot through the curves and the switch backs is icing on the cake. Where they really shine is in rolling parking lots due to road construction or an accident. The stop and go riding is no longer a problem.

"I was in the Ruidoso Rally, New Mexico's answer to Sturgis. The Retract-A-Trike system for my 2008 Gold Wing was a sensation. The more I use them, the more I like them. While I was in the Ruidoso Rally Parade, I rode with the wheels down and never took my feet off of the foot pads.

"Hi, Yesterday, at an intersection while walking home in North Hollywood, CA, I saw a motorcycle coming to a stop and the Retract A Trike wheels came down like aircraft landing gear.

I had never seen nor heard about anything like this before. Not only did the bike have the wheel system but had a vertical, hard case, carry container, standing vertically behind rider, which I learned contained golf clubs and the bike also had a trailer hitch sticking out behind. After making a left turn, the wheels came up, then after a short distance, the wheels went down, and the rider and passenger pulled into the adjacent parking lot. When they stopped, I went over to ask them about the system. First thing out of the driver's mouth was, "with this system, when you pull into a place, you better be ready to talk." They graciously explained about the system.

While the rider was in the store, I noticed a mop handle duct taped to the shifter and sticking up by the fuel tank. When I asked the lady what that was for, she said that the rider had injured his foot so with the handle, he was able to shift.

NOW THAT IS A DEDICATED RIDER!!!!
